FMT

Force Multi Touch

— The most advanced force sensor

Embodme invented and develops a force sensitive touch surface equipped with thousands of force sensors, allowing for extremely nuanced and responsive touch input

—Ultra-responsiveness

FMT is state of the art technology of force sensing with high accuracy and speed.

—Force sensing in any object

Transform any device into an intuitive and expressive tool. FMT can be integrated in any plane or curved geometries with LEDs or various materials such as silicone or fabrics.

Natural gesture interaction

Given its versatility, FMT can potentially be integrated into various IoT devices, transforming how users interact with technology by providing more intuitive and responsive control interfaces.

Scalable sensor design

The FMT sensor can be integrated into different devices or environments, making it  suitable for both small-scale consumer products and large-scale industrial or commercial applications.

How it
works

FMT is a matrix of FSR sensors that changes its resistance based on the amount of pressure or force applied to its surface. Each FSR cell is responsible for detecting subtle changes in pressure. The analog circuit processes the position estimation before the signal discretisation allowing for optimal filtering of XY and Z data.
Thousands of cells detect change in pressure
We run through all sensors and look for local maxima with our hybrid analog digital circuits
Final object positions such as fingers are retreived
An API transmits defined gestures to the user interface
